jPFChat v2 is being actively developed at this time. 

We're in the process of trying to get the MooTools conflict resolved.   We're still not 100% sure we can do it... but we're trying.

Meanwhile, we've released a beta that addresses several other reported issues.

The beta is a SINGLE FILE for both Joomla 1.0.x and Joomla 1.5.x installations.  The code base was getting a bit cumbersome to maintain for both Joomla releases... so we put it together into a consolodated file.  Please let us know if you experience any installation issues.

Also... we've tried to take care of some known issues between jPFChat and Community Builder.  Again, we would appreciate your input if you still have CB issues remaining after trying this release.
